Day 2 Activity 2 The Rues of Engagement/Dream Job

Day 2 Activity 2 The Rules of Engagement/Dream Job

During the early years in New Zealand, men and women would often marry at a young age. Women were expected to have babies and remain in the home caring for their children. Few, if any, left home in search of work. Men, on the other hand, were expected to work outside of the home.

These days, we don’t have the same strict expectations about work. Girls and boys can choose their own path in life. In fact, I was lucky enough to go to university and to follow my dream of becoming a teacher!

What is your dream job? Draw a picture of yourself doing your dream job and post it on your blog. You could be a doctor, an actor or even a zookeeper! I have drawn myself taking a picture of a beautiful castle in Poland because I would love to become a travel blogger and photographer one day.

  1. Hey Jahrey,

That’s so cool you want to be a youtuber! I think we definitely need more kiwi youtubers. I like that you talked about your passions and how you could really use them to inspire other children around the world. It’s so awesome to see how determined and passionate you are. Maybe next time you could show us an idea board to help show us your vision.

I spend a bit of time myself watching youtuber vlogs and I think it’s great learning about people living in other countries and how different but awesome they are! I have a question for you, If you became a youtuber what would your username be?

Keep up the great work, I look forward to reading more of your posts!

  2. Kia Ora Jahrey,

Fantastic work! Thanks for sharing your dream job! What sort of content would you be creating on your YouTube channel? Great to see you have mentioned some YouTubers who have inspired you too!

Would these reviews be on toys you have made or other people have designed? Maybe you could upload a video of a practice review so your readers could see what you are interested in.

    Keep up the great work!

    Cadence :)

    2. Hey Jahrey,

Awesome to hear from you! That sounds wicked! There is always another game needing to be reviewed! YouTube is my go-to for advise if I'm looking at buying something or wanting to learn more about something.

That would be amazing if you could!

      Keep up the great work.

      Thanks,

      Cadence
